Users can review browser security and privacy settings on Android by running Safety Check in Google Chrome. According to official help documentation published by Google, the built-in tool identifies security issues and guides users through on-screen fixes.

What it does

Google says Chrome automatically runs Safety Check to find and fix privacy and security problems. The feature checks whether usernames or passwords saved in Google Password Manager were involved in data breaches, and warns about compromised, reused, or weak passwords.

The tool also checks Safe Browsing status, flags available Chrome updates, and reminds users to review notification permission grants. In addition, Chrome removes permissions from sites not used recently, and notification permissions are removed by Chrome from sites that Google Safe Browsing finds to be deceiving users into granting the permission.
