NASA and SpaceX launched the 35th commercial resupply mission on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, carrying more than 6,300 pounds of cargo and scientific hardware to the International Space Station.

Mission Details and Cargo

According to NASA, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon spacecraft lifted off at 6:33 a.m. EDT Tuesday from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The flight marks the company's 35th Commercial Resupply Services mission to the International Space Station for NASA.

The Dragon spacecraft is transporting more than 6,300 pounds of supplies and hardware. Among the cargo is the final pair of International Space Station Roll-Out Solar Arrays, which will complete the station's power system augmentation. Astronauts plan to install the arrays during a series of spacewalks later this fall.

Scientific Experiments and Docking Schedule

NASA stated that Dragon is delivering several new experiments, including hardware to manufacture artificial retinas in microgravity and 3D heart tissue models. The capsule also carries materials to study a new type of glass formed in microgravity and brain organoids for researching neurodegenerative diseases.

The Dragon spacecraft is scheduled to autonomously dock at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, to the space-facing port of the Harmony module. The spacecraft will remain at the station until mid-November before returning to Earth with time-critical research and cargo, splashing down off the coast of California.
