At SAP Connect 2026, SAP announced the expansion of its Joule AI assistants and the introduction of specialized Joule Agents designed to automate supply chain operations. General availability for the new capabilities is planned for Q4 2026.

New Capabilities at SAP Connect 2026

SAP announced expansions to its Joule AI portfolio at SAP Connect 2026, building upon assistants previously unveiled at SAP Sapphire. The update introduces specialized Joule Agents designed to handle critical supply chain tasks and improve decision velocity.

The new lineup includes specialized assistants for product design, supply chain planning, manufacturing, logistics, asset operations, and business network collaboration. General availability for these features is planned for the fourth quarter of 2026.

Early Customer Deployments

Enterprise customers are already preparing to adopt the new autonomous capabilities to streamline operations. Takeda Pharmaceuticals plans to utilize the Supply Chain Planning Assistant to support adaptive planning processes and automated performance tracking.

Meanwhile, Doehler GmbH is applying the technology to logistics issue resolution. According to the company, the agent detects root causes and recommends resolutions to help recover time spent on troubleshooting.
