AI Shopping Assistant Built in Under 90 Days
Therabody announced the launch of Jason, an AI-powered shopping assistant built with the Agentic Shopping Assistant on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Configured around Therabody's products, customers, and compliance requirements, the assistant launched in under 90 days.
According to the company, Jason asks customers key questions about their needs, such as pain relief, athletic recovery, or anti-aging, alongside their budget and lifestyle, to recommend appropriate products.
Explaining Science and Integrating With Shopify
Therabody stated that Jason explains product research in clear, accessible terms by citing studies and claims directly in the chat. The assistant integrates with Therabody's Shopify platform to enable actions like add-to-bag and checkout right from the chat.
"When someone asks if a Theragun is right for their back pain, we have to get it right," said Caitlin Berzok, SVP of Digital at Therabody. The company runs Jason on its own infrastructure rather than a third-party AI platform to maintain end-to-end ownership and brand flexibility.
