On October 19, 2026, Supabase announced the release of version 8 of its .NET SDK, bringing all of its packages into a single repository with a unified version number.
Unified Repository and Versioning
Supabase announced that its latest major version, v8, is now available and brings every Supabase .NET package under a single repository with a unified version number. Previous repositories are still available but have been archived as read-only.
All the packages now live in the supabase-community/supabase-csharp repository. Supabase stated that all packages now share the same version number, including Gotrue, PostgREST, Realtime, Storage, Functions, and the umbrella supabase package.
Technical Updates and Serialization
Supabase stated that serialization is handled with System.Text.Json instead of Newtonsoft.Json. Additionally, retry with backoff is built into every service package and is configurable.
The client also accepts publishable and secret API keys, and all packages target netstandard2.1.
Dependency Injection and Upgrading
A new package, Supabase.Extensions.DependencyInjection, is available on NuGet to register the Supabase client with the .NET service container and let IHttpClientFactory manage its HttpClient.
Supabase noted that because v8.0.0 is a major version with breaking changes, a migration guide has been written to help users upgrade from v7.x.x.
What to do
- Update your packages to v8.0.0.
- Consult the migration guide to address breaking changes when upgrading from v7.x.x.
