QuerySurge, an enterprise data validation platform, has announced the release of QuerySurge 15. The update introduces a unified environment that connects data mapping documentation to automated validation testing.

Mapping Studio and Validation Lineage

The software update introduces Mapping Studio, allowing data teams to build mappings directly in QuerySurge or import existing spreadsheets in Excel and CSV formats. These mappings are standardized using configurable layouts and used to automatically generate validation tests via QuerySurge AI: Mapping Intelligence.

QuerySurge 15 also debuts Validation Lineage, which connects requirement and testing assets in an interactive visual graph. The tool lets teams explore upstream and downstream dependencies, analyze the impact of changes before updating tests, and utilize coverage reports to locate mappings that do not have tests.

Expanded cloud and AI integrations

QuerySurge 15 adds native validation support for JSON and Parquet files stored locally, on Amazon S3, or within Microsoft Azure Data Lake Storage, integrating them into the database validation workflow. Furthermore, BI Tester now enables comparing Power BI paginated report data against trusted source or target data using standard report parameters.

The platform's AI endpoint support has been expanded, with QuerySurge AI now integrating with IBM watsonx alongside OpenAI. The release also comes with a redesigned user interface featuring updated icons and clearer labels to help new users.

Availability and executive commentary

The company stated that QuerySurge 15 is available now, and existing customers can obtain the update. New users can request a product demo online.

"When mapping documentation and validation assets live in different places, gaps accumulate," said QuerySurge CEO Bill Hayduk. "Requirements change, and tests don't. New mappings get added, and nobody generates the tests. Mapping Studio brings the two together, so whether your data does what your documentation says is no longer left to manual interpretation."
