Cloudflare said on October 1, 2026 that it is opening a waitlist for fully managed deployments of Cloudflare OS, the company's agent workspace product, which organizations can currently deploy themselves from an open-source repository.
What Cloudflare announced
Cloudflare described Cloudflare OS as a product that "gives everyone in your organization an agent workspace that knows how your company works and connects to its data and systems." The company said users can ask an agent to handle work, build a tool for a team, or move between the two as the work evolves.
With the managed option, Cloudflare said customers will be able to launch their organization's own agent workspace "with a few clicks in the Cloudflare dashboard" by specifying a custom domain, the Cloudflare Access policies that apply, and which AI Gateway to connect. Cloudflare said it will handle the rest.
The company said Cloudflare OS was announced last month alongside an open source repository, and that since then thousands of organizations have started using it to work with company data, produce docs and slides, build tools and automate work with agents. Those figures are Cloudflare's own.
Self-hosted versus managed
Cloudflare said customers can already deploy Cloudflare OS into their own Cloudflare account from the open-source repository, which gives full control but means someone has to configure the deployment, operate it and keep it up to date.
Under the fully managed option, according to Cloudflare, the customer decides who can access Cloudflare OS, which organizational skills and context are available, and which systems it can reach, while Cloudflare handles the remaining operational work. Interested organizations are directed to join the waitlist.
New capabilities
Cloudflare said users can now connect an existing GitHub repository to Cloudflare OS and ask an agent to explore a codebase, fix a bug, add a feature or open a pull request. According to the company, the agent can search and edit files, review its changes, create commits and push them to GitHub. At launch, Cloudflare said, agents could write code for an app but could not work with code in an existing Git repository.
The company also said it made significant improvements to the Google Workspace Gatekeeper, which it described as a service-specific Worker that sits between Cloudflare OS and an external service. Cloudflare OS can now read and research Gmail threads, create drafts and send emails, and users can connect an entire Google Drive, a specific folder, or an individual doc or sheet, Cloudflare said.
On exports, Cloudflare said the built-in document, presentation and spreadsheet experiences can now export to Microsoft Excel (.xlsx), CSV, PDF, Markdown or HTML, depending on what is created. Microsoft Word (.docx) and PowerPoint (.pptx) export is coming soon, the company said. Tools built by users can also define their own export formats, with Cloudflare giving the example of asking the agent to add a calendar file (.ics) download option to a tool's export menu.
