Branch, a Tampa-based provider of embedded financial services, announced on October 1, 2026 the launch of High Yield Savings, a savings tool built into the Branch App and Branch-powered apps. The company said the feature debuts first in the Uber Pro Card, letting drivers and couriers earn up to 3.25% APY.
What Branch announced
Branch said High Yield Savings is embedded directly into the Branch App and other custom branded applications powered by Branch, including the Uber Pro Card, so workers can set money aside without leaving the app they already use to get paid.
According to the company, workers earn the top advertised rate simply by keeping an average daily balance of $500 or more. Branch said some rival high yield savings options come with monthly direct deposit requirements or card-spending thresholds that do not fit how variable-income workers earn.
How the feature works
Branch said the account has no fees and no minimum balance required to open, and that money can be moved at any time, typically with no transfer fees.
Workers can set up automatic contributions on a daily, weekly, every-two-weeks, or monthly schedule, the company said, with interest accruing and paying out each month.
In disclosures attached to the announcement, Branch said the Annual Percentage Yield is variable and may change at any time, and that average daily balances below $500 earn a lower APY. Branch said it is not a bank; banking services are provided by Evolve Bank & Trust, Member FDIC, and FDIC insurance only applies for eligible accounts should the bank holding the funds fail.
Rollout and partners
The company said High Yield Savings will first roll out to Uber Pro Card holders before expanding across the Branch App and other Branch-powered applications.
Karan Chawla, Director of Financial Services at Uber, said in the release that the Uber Pro Card gives earners access to financial tools designed around how they work and what they need, and that adding High Yield Savings gives eligible drivers and couriers another way to save their earnings.
Branch founder and CEO Atif Siddiqi said the product "delivers a rewarding, competitive rate that variable-income workers can actually access." Branch described itself as the leading provider of embedded financial services for workforces, with infrastructure used across hospitality, staffing, healthcare, logistics, marketplaces, vertical software and financial institutions.
Branch said the Branch Mastercard Debit Card and the Uber Pro Card business debit card are issued by the sponsor bank under a license from Mastercard.
