The White House said on September 29, 2026 that President Donald J. Trump launched America.gov, described as a single digital point of entry for Americans to access federal information and services online, and signed an executive order directing federal agencies to integrate with it.
What the White House announced
According to the fact sheet, America.gov is a "secure, intelligent, and service-oriented single point of entry" through which an individual can sign in, communicate in plain language, receive accurate answers and, where authorized and technically available, complete government transactions without navigating multiple federal agency websites.
The White House said the site "implements modern technology and Super Intelligence (SI) to dramatically improve how the Federal government serves Americans, all while preserving personal privacy." The fact sheet does not define Super Intelligence or name any supplier or model behind it.
The administration said Americans can currently ask any question on America.gov and get an up-to-date answer, and that later this year they will be able to complete tasks such as passport renewal and Medicare enrollment on the site. More services will be added as agencies integrate, the fact sheet said.
What the executive order requires
The order directs the Administrator of General Services, the Administrator of the National Design Studio and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget to establish and operate America.gov as the single point of entry for covered services online, and to integrate Login.gov with America.gov, according to the White House.
Covered services are defined as public-facing federal services that serve more than 100,000 users in a 12-month period and can be accessed or applied for online. Tax filing services provided by the Internal Revenue Service and national-security-sensitive services provided by the Department of War and the Intelligence Community are excluded.
OMB's director is also directed to issue guidance to executive agencies to ensure they implement their covered services into America.gov.
How the administration frames it
The White House said Americans spend around 10 billion hours each year dealing with federal paperwork and have long navigated systems "organized around the Federal bureaucracy rather than the needs of the people."
The fact sheet places America.gov alongside earlier digital work the administration claims credit for, including the "America by Design" initiative and the National Design Studio, established in August 2025, which it said has helped modernize websites for programs such as TrumpRx, Trump Accounts and the Federal Employees Retirement System.
The announcement was part of a broader fact sheet that also made claims about veterans' benefits backlogs, a Vice President Vance fraud task force, TrumpRx drug pricing and Obamacare refunds. Those are the administration's own statements and fall outside the technology elements of the announcement.
