Drone show operator Sky Elements said on October 2, 2026 that it set two Guinness World Records titles during seven large-scale drone shows flown over three consecutive nights in Blue Ridge, Texas, launching what it described as 71,207 drones in a single week.

What the company says it did

Sky Elements said it worked with Damoda America to launch 71,207 drones in one week, which the company described as the most ever recorded, including an 11,000-drone performance it called the largest drone show ever flown in America.

According to the company, the shows ran from Sunday, Sept. 27, through Tuesday, Sept. 29, and consisted of six 10,000-drone shows and one 11,000-drone show. Sky Elements said the week surpassed a previous record of 55,939 drones flown in one week.

The company also said it set a record for the largest aerial display of a mythical creature, flying 10,183 drones and beating a previous mark of 2,247. Sky Elements said the two titles are its 18th and 19th world records.

How the shows were run

Sky Elements said crews recharged and relaunched the fleet between flights, and that an official Guinness World Records adjudicator verified each show.

The company said its pilots, engineers and designers worked onsite with Damoda America to create original formations for every show, including a soaring eagle, a lion, turning gears, a dragon, Pegasus, Americana imagery and scenes from deep space. Recreations of Noah's Ark and a black hole, followed by a UFO sequence, closed out the attempt, according to the release.

What the executives said

"Sky Elements already performs on the world stage, from Formula 1 in Monaco to our September 11th Memorial in New York City," said Rick Boss, CEO of Sky Elements. "Until now, shows of this size have happened in Asia and the Middle East. This week, we proved an American team can fly them here at home, and we did it night after night."

Boss also credited the partner company: "Flying more than 10,000 drones at a time repeatedly, night after night, takes an extraordinary team, and Damoda America was a true partner at every step."

The company said the record week positions it to deliver shows featuring 10,000 drones or more for sports leagues, municipalities, brands and major events nationwide. Sky Elements describes itself as the largest drone light show company in the United States, with a national team of FAA-certified pilots, artists and producers, and says it performs across all 50 states and internationally.
