Nextdoor Holdings said on October 1, 2026 that it will voluntarily transfer its stock exchange listing from the New York Stock Exchange to the Nasdaq Capital Market, in a press release filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

What changed

The San Francisco-based company said the transfer takes effect on October 13, 2026 after market close, and that its common stock is expected to begin trading as a Nasdaq-listed security on October 14, 2026.

Nextdoor said it will retain its current ticker symbol, NXDR.

What the company says

"Our stock exchange move will allow us to leverage Nasdaq's cutting-edge technology and information in serving our shareholders while also driving efficiencies," said Nextdoor CEO and Co-Founder Nirav Tolia in the statement.

Tolia added that the company is excited to be joining many of the world's largest and most innovative companies on Nasdaq. The release does not give further detail on the costs or expected savings associated with the move.

Company background as stated in the filing

Nextdoor describes itself as the essential neighborhood network for over 110 million verified neighbors, offering local news, real-time safety alerts, neighbor recommendations, for sale and free listings, and events. The company said businesses, news publishers and public agencies also use the platform to reach neighborhoods at scale.

Nextdoor said it uses its investor relations website, its X handle, its LinkedIn page and Tolia's LinkedIn and X posts to disseminate news, press releases and material nonpublic information, and to comply with its disclosure obligations under Regulation FD.

Forward-looking caveats

The release includes a safe harbor statement noting that statements about the transfer of the listing from the NYSE to Nasdaq are forward-looking and subject to risks and uncertainties that could cause actual results to differ.

The company pointed to its filings with the SEC, including its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, for a fuller description of those risk factors.
