Mobix Labs hosted an investor update call on October 8, 2026, detailing its expansion into critical minerals and rare earth recovery. Company executives outlined plans to acquire Special Project Delivery and integrate rare earth recovery operations.

Acquisition Strategy

Mobix Labs is pursuing a strategy to transform into NSM Labs under its National Security Matters initiative. The company previously announced a definitive agreement to acquire Special Project Delivery, or SPD.

SPD has separately entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Winner Water Services, a revenue-generating U.S. rare earth company based in Sharon, Pennsylvania. Winner recovers rare earth elements scandium and alumina from coal ash material.

Financial and Operational Outlook

Phil Sansone stated that Mobix Labs expects fiscal fourth quarter 2026 revenue to come in close to the high end of its $1.4 to $1.8 million guidance range. The growth is driven by wireless system shipments and military demand.

Winner broke ground in August on a rare earth extraction demonstration plant at the National Carbon Capture Center in Wilsonville, Alabama. Paul Singarella noted that the $25 million demonstration plant is fully funded and anticipates operations no later than the first quarter of 2028.
