On October 15, 2026, TÜV Rheinland announced that 20 gaming monitors from Lenovo and HKC received its new Native Gaming Performance Certification. The certification evaluates displays across motion performance, image quality, and visual comfort.
New Certification Framework
According to TÜV Rheinland, the evaluation system addresses challenges where higher refresh rates and advertised response times do not always reflect clearer gaming visuals. The standard excludes refresh-rate overclocking from certification to ensure performance claims are assessed under consistent operating conditions.
The framework evaluates fourteen indicators across motion performance, image quality, and visual comfort. Weighted results produce a Gaming Performance Index, which converts into a three- to five-star rating.
Certified Lenovo and HKC Displays
TÜV Rheinland stated that 16 monitors from Lenovo's Legion series received ratings ranging from three to five stars. Four 5-star certified models include the Legion 27Q-10 OLED, Legion Pro 27Q-10, Legion Pro 27UD-10, and Legion Pro 32UD-10.
Additionally, four gaming monitors from HKC's ANTGAMER brand—ANT25ASF, ANT255TQ, ANT275TQ, and ANT272TUE—met the standard's requirements and received 5-Star Certification, according to the announcement.
