Gemini in Chrome provides AI assistance in your browser to help you get key takeaways, clarify concepts, find answers and more. By default, it uses content from your current browser tab to provide the most relevant responses.

Before you start

Google states that you must be 13 or older and located in a supported region. You need a Chromebook Plus, Mac, or Windows computer running the latest version of Chrome. You must also be signed in to Chrome, as the feature is not available in Incognito mode, and your device must be set to a supported language.

Steps

Step 1: On your computer, open Chrome.

Step 2: At the top of your browser, click Ask Gemini .

Step 3: Follow the onscreen instructions to opt in the first time you use Gemini in Chrome.

Step 4: In the text box, enter your question or request.
