Hostinger customers registered 34,582 new .si top-level domain extensions between September 23 and October 7, 2026, following a US government push for the term "Super Intelligence."

Registration Surge

Hostinger reported a surge in .si domain registrations following announcements from Washington regarding the term "Super Intelligence." Between September 23 and October 7, Hostinger customers registered 34,582 new .si top-level domain extensions.

Registrations spiked after a September 29 executive order directed US federal agencies to use "Super Intelligence" in official communications. Daily registrations on Hostinger's platform jumped from 529 on September 29 to 4,279 on September 30. Monday, October 5 set a new record at 5,654 registrations.

Buyer Demographics and Domain Topics

According to Hostinger, US customers registered 8,917 .si domains, and Indian customers registered 7,770. Morocco followed in third place with 1,674 domains, while Slovenia did not rank in the top 20 markets on the platform.

Hostinger noted that only about 3% of the new .si names contained an explicit AI term. Short names of four characters or fewer accounted for 4,062 registrations, tech-related names came in at 2,920, and more than half of the domains (58.3%) did not fit any classified topic.
