Delta Air Lines announced on October 9, 2026, that it has received regulatory approval to roll out fast, free Delta Sync Wi-Fi presented by T-Mobile across its trans-Pacific routes starting later this month.

Regulatory Approval and Rollout

Delta Air Lines said it secured regulatory approval to extend fast, free Delta Sync Wi-Fi presented by T-Mobile across its trans-Pacific routes. The rollout is scheduled to begin later this month and will expand progressively across routes in the following weeks.

With the expansion activated, this rollout brings the final major region of Delta’s global network online for fast, free Wi-Fi.

Global Fleet Connectivity

According to Delta, the trans-Pacific expansion marks the final step in extending connectivity across its global route network spanning six continents. The airline stated that it currently has nearly 1,300 Wi-Fi-equipped aircraft flying globally, which accounts for more than 95 percent of its fleet.

Delta noted that it will become the only U.S. global carrier to offer free Wi-Fi across its entire global network once the Pacific routes are activated.
