On October 9, 2026, BTQ Technologies Corp. announced a strategic partnership with MoonPay Korea to serve as the security partner for its Korean won stablecoin infrastructure. The collaboration aims to integrate post-quantum cryptography across the digital asset stack.
Post-Quantum Security Partnership
BTQ Technologies will act as the security partner for MoonPay Korea, focusing on post-quantum cryptography to prepare Korean won stablecoin infrastructure for quantum-related threats. The scope covers issuance support, distribution, wallets, settlement, and last-mile delivery to users and merchants.
MoonPay Korea is building full-stack on-chain infrastructure for Korea's emerging won-backed stablecoin market. The companies will jointly develop a post-quantum security roadmap including a cryptographic inventory, risk prioritization, and a phased migration plan.
Proof of Concept and Banking Collaboration
As part of the agreement, BTQ and MoonPay Korea will conduct a proof of concept with Korean banking institutions testing BTQ's Quantum Secure Stablecoin Network (QSSN). The testing will evaluate quantum-safe transaction signing and key management across wallet and settlement systems.
Woori Bank is listed as the inaugural member of MoonPay Korea's KRW Stablecoin Consortium. MoonPay Korea's infrastructure links Korean won-backed stablecoins to a global network serving more than 35 million customers in approximately 180 countries and over 1,500 enterprise clients.
