On October 21, 2026, 1Password announced the launch of 1Password for Agents, a new platform designed to let personal AI agents log into websites and services without exposing users' passwords.
How It Works
When an AI agent reaches a sign-in page, the 1Password for Agents app prompts the user for the necessary credential. If the user approves the request, 1Password directly auto-fills the credentials in the destination site.
This process prevents the AI model or agent from seeing or handling the actual password or one-time code.
Supported Integrations
1Password announced integrations with several personal AI agents, including Muse from Meta, Anthropic's Claude Duet, OpenAI ChatGPT Work and dots, SpaceXSI Grok Bot, and Town Townie.
Integrations for Muse and Grok Bot are rolling out over coming days across all platforms, while integrations for Claude Duet, ChatGPT Work, dots, and Townie are coming soon. Additional integrations with tools like Instinct, Browserbase, Browser Use, Dana, KERNEL, Perplexity, Ramp, Tomo, and Wajo are also planned for the future.
Availability
1Password stated that 1Password for Agents is currently available at no additional cost for 1Password Individual and Family accounts on 1Password.com.
Accounts hosted on 1Password.eu or 1Password.ca are not currently supported by the platform.
