On October 14, 2026, Amazon Web Services announced that Amazon SageMaker Studio now supports social sign-in for new customers using Google, GitHub, or Apple credentials.
Simplified Sign-Up Process
According to AWS, new customers can now land inside a fully configured Amazon SageMaker Studio environment without traditional AWS account setup, credit cards, or console navigation. Users receive free credits as part of the AWS Free Tier.
With earlier updates, AWS reduced environment setup to twenty seconds and introduced deep links from Hugging Face and AWS product pages. Collaborators can also sign in using their own social credentials to access shared environments.
Availability and Instance Access
AWS stated that the new feature is available in all AWS Commercial Regions where Amazon SageMaker Studio is supported. Verified customers continue to receive default GPU access to G5, G6, G6e, and G4dn instances without requesting quota increases.
When projects grow past free credits, users can upgrade to paid plans and establish spend limits. To begin, users can visit supported models on Hugging Face or select Get Started on the SageMaker Studio page.
