Amazon Web Services on September 29, 2026 announced a batch of service availability changes, moving two services into maintenance, placing four into sunset with fixed end-of-support dates, and confirming that Amazon Mechanical Turk has reached end of support.
What changed
AWS said Amazon Chime SDK SIP Media Application and Amazon WorkSpaces Secure Browser are moving to maintenance. According to the company, services moving to maintenance "will no longer be accessible to new customers starting October 29, 2026," while existing customers can keep using them and AWS will continue to operate and support them.
Four services are entering sunset, meaning AWS has published dates on which it will end operations and support. The company listed Amazon Managed Blockchain (end of support September 29, 2027), Amazon DevOps Guru (end of support September 30, 2027), AWS Backint Agent for SAP ASE (end of support September 29, 2027) and AWS Infrastructure Composer, whose standalone console reaches end of support on December 7, 2026.
AWS also said Amazon Mechanical Turk has reached end of support and is "no longer available as of September 29, 2026."
Who is affected
Teams that have not yet onboarded to the Amazon Chime SDK SIP Media Application or Amazon WorkSpaces Secure Browser lose the ability to sign up after October 29, 2026, based on the company's statement. Existing users are not cut off.
Customers running workloads on the four sunsetting services face hard deadlines. AWS said those customers "should click on the links below to understand the sunset timeline and begin planning migration to alternatives as recommended in the updated service web pages and documentation."

The company said it has prepared migration guides for affected customers and that its support teams are ready to assist with the transition.
AWS pointed customers to its Product Lifecycle Page for details and said an RSS feed is available for future availability updates.
