Amazon Web Services said on September 25, 2026 that AWS DataSync now includes a monitoring dashboard in the DataSync console, giving customers a single view of data transfer task executions across their account.
What the dashboard shows
According to AWS, the dashboard displays each task execution's status, data and file transfer rates, duration, and the total data and files transferred.
Users can filter executions by status, task, task mode, execution ID, or start time. AWS said the dashboard then summarizes the filtered results, including the number of successful and failed executions and the cumulative data and files transferred, grouped by task.
The company said a failed execution can be selected to view its errors. The dashboard also displays counts of configured tasks, locations and agents, along with real-time total transfer rates.
What changed
AWS said that previously, monitoring multiple transfers required reviewing each execution individually or building custom Amazon CloudWatch dashboards.
The company said customers can now monitor the health, performance and progress of concurrent transfers from a single view, and described this as useful for large migrations and recurring transfers that run many tasks at once.
Availability and pricing
The AWS DataSync dashboard is available at no additional cost in all commercial AWS Regions and the AWS GovCloud (US) Regions where AWS DataSync is available, according to the announcement.
AWS said customers can view the dashboard by going to the AWS DataSync console, and pointed to the AWS DataSync User Guide for more information.
